Position statement for PE and Sports Funding 2022-2023

At Aspire we firmly believe that PE and Sport are not only part of every child's entitlement but also provide opportunities for them to develop key life skills such as team work and resilience. Pupils are encouraged to undertake a range of sports and activities both within the Physical Education (PE) curriculum and at playtimes.
As part of the government initiative, all primary schools receive funding to improve and develop the PE provision.
In 2022-2023 we received funding worth £16,000. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, which had a significant impact on all aspects of provision during the academic year of 2020-2021, Rotherham Aspire wanted to ensure full PE establishment was reintroduced back into the school. To achieve this goal, the following statements outline how we used this funding to create a sustainable impact upon the pupils at Aspire.
