Position statement for PE and Sports Funding 2021-2022
At Aspire we firmly believe that PE and Sport are not only part of every child's entitlement but also provide opportunities for them to develop key life skills such as team work and resilience. Pupils are encouraged to undertake a range of sports and activities both within the Physical Education (PE) curriculum and at playtimes.
As part of the government initiative, all primary schools receive funding to improve and develop the PE provision.
In 2020-2021 we received funding worth £11,933. The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on all aspects of provision during this academic year but the following statements outline how we used this funding to create a sustainable impact upon the pupils at Aspire.
Cost breakdown:
- Appoint a specialist PE tutor to deliver all PE provision in Key Stage 1 and 2.
Tutor employed on 0.5 timetable. £11,033
- Curriculum resources to support the delivery of National Curriculum Physical Education £900
Total Spending £11.933
